PBM / MERLIN SBC Raised Cam Race Block

The PBM-MERLIN .134″ raised cam SBC block features a 50mm roller cam bearing or 55mm babbit bearing while retaining the stock oil pan configuration. Making it lighter than a standard cam location block. This will allow you to use a 50mm or 55 mm camshaft with a 1.100 or 1.250 base circle and clear a 4.000″ stroke crankshaft with no additional work required. Not like the weaker .850 & .900″ tiny cams usually found in race blocks. This block will also allow for a .150″ – .200″ shorter push-rod for better valve train stability. Available in a 350 or 400 splayed billet steel or nodular iron main cap, dedicated main oiling, ½” ARP main studs, bushed lifter bore sizes from .842″ to .904″ ava. Comes standard with an unfinished 4.115 cylinder bore and bronze lifter bores. Maximum bore size is 4.200″
