421ci 1200Hp SBC Pro Magnum Blown Engine Special
421ci 1200 Hp SBC Pro Magnum converted from NOS to a Blown Engine Special that has never gotten to be put into a chassis. ARC Race Cars originally built the 70 Black Corvette with an 8.50 cert which the car went to a 7.90 with the first NOS engine. The car was sent out to have a 6.0 cert addition to be legal and the engine being updated with a new Mert Littlefield 871 Blower Set up which customer requested. While waiting for the Vette to get done, the chassis shop said he could use his Pro Mod 6.0 Camaro set up to see how the blower set up would go. So LJ’s car was still out 6 months because of building it, so LJ had me install the SBC Blown set up and he ran 7.40 at 200mph and was very excited. After about 6 months the chassis guy said he needed his car back and I told LJ not to take it back until yours was done, but he convinced LJ his car was only a week from being done. LJ delivered his Camara back and somehow LJ’s stuff just disappeared and now we know will never be found.
In the past 8 years, the 70 Black Vette has never reappeared, so the customer has moved down here close to me on the Eastern Shore and asks me if I could sell all of it for him because he has lost total interest and much older now. I told LJ I would have taken it back apart to make sure everything was perfect, then reassemble with anything needed and re-dyno the engine just to make sure it’s perfect. Years ago, this engine was $38,000.00 and now is going through the shop and will be completely redone and dyno tested and tuned for the best performance with all upgrades to 2025.
