AwesomeEngines® knows as well as any machinist, most of the earlier blocks were all over the ball field before CNC was invented. Most align bore, bore centers, bank angles and deck heights were close enough on specifications for all manufactures stock engines. So now we take every block used or the newer we have left over purchased 25 years ago and re-machine every machined surface to new 2026 CNC perfect standards with our Centroid on a one base center for deck height, bore centers and radial clearance.
All AMC, Chrysler, Ford and GM blocks are CNC probed on every dimension because all of them are off enough not to be perfect. We have no new Gen IV new blocks left, all we have are Gen V 9.8 or Gen IV 10.2″ standard bore 4 Bolt Main Blocks we purchased years ago.
